LiveAmmo® VMware training classes are instructor-led deliveries with a hands-on and personal approach, using VMware-supported lab hardware and equipment with top quality courseware and instructional materials.
Unlike other VMware training providers, we are the only third party VMware training company that provides fibre channel SAN-based training using our proprietary LiveAmmo® Virtual Labs delivery medium. Each class is delivered using two separate fibre channel optical switching networks which are used to simulate network failures and outages, and to demonstrate the SAN failover and multipath capabilities of the VMware enterprise suite of virtualization products.

VMware Infrastructure 3.5 Extreme Boot Camp™
Courseware v2.1
Course Overview
VMware Infrastructure 3.5 Extreme Boot Camp is a 5-day jump start class that provides a detailed overview and examination of the VMware Infrastructure 3.5 product suite developed and sold by VMware, Inc. This class includes instructor lectures, hands-on lab exercises, and other educational resources associated with VMware ESX Server 3.5, VirtualCenter 2.5, and other related VMware enterprise virtualization technologies.
Virtualization technology provides organizations with the ability to run multiple virtual operating systems on a single hardware platform, with each operating system constrained to a logical partition of hardware resources referred to as a virtual machine. Corporations are recognizing the benefit of purchasing a single high-powered server platform, then utilizing virtualization technology to populate that hardware platform with multiple guest operating system virtual machines, all of which share the same hardware devices and system resources.
Virtualization technology has taken the enterprise networking market by storm, with billions of dollars now being spent by corporations that are converting physical servers and applications to virtualized hardware platforms based on VMware Infrastructure 3.5 , the industry leading suite of virtualization software products developed and sold by VMware, Inc.
Learning Objectives
Students will learn how to: install and configure VMware ESX Server 3.5, VMware Infrastructure 3.5, and VirtualCenter 2.5; configure user and group authentication for ESX and VirtualCenter; create and install VMware Appliances; create NIC teams and configure VMware virtual networking; configure fibre channel, iSCSI, and NFS storage; create and configure virtual machines and guest operating systems; create scripted ESX installations; configure VM snapshots; create resource pools and manage resources; configure and create VM clones and guest host templates; perform cold, VMotion, and Storage Motion migrations; configure and deploy fibre channel VMware High Availability (HA); configure and deploy VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling (DRS); scan and remediate VMs using the VMware Update Manager; and more!
Intended Audience
VMware Infrastructure 3.5 Extreme Boot Camp benefits system architects and network administrators tasked with building and maintaining virtual infrastructure based upon the most recent VMware Infrastructure 3.5 line of enterprise virtualization products.
